Elsmere is a full service city with a seasoned and professional staff, providing 24/7 police protection and experienced public right-of-way maintenance services, including street repair, snow removal, and street sweeping.

Police Department:
Accredited by the Kentucky Association of Chiefs of Police
Police Chief:
17 Full-Time Police Officers providing 24/7/365 coverage
Services Offered: daily business checks, vacation checks, bike patrol, investigations, citizen lockout services, and free corporate safety and self-defense training and presentations.

Public Works Department:
Public Works Director: Chris Zerhusen
6 Full-Time Employees
Services Offered: street and sidewalk repair (both concrete and asphalt), regular street sweeping, roadside grass cutting and litter removal, and snowplowing services.
